Let’s begin this conversation by learning what body empowerment means. BE means loving yourself, feeling confident and embracing YOU by making choices towards positive body change.

Today, I am making positive body changes in my life! I am choosing to pay attention to my health and I am starting from the ground up. Tonight, I am paying attention to my feet by spending time doing yoga poses that build posture from the ground up and I will finish with a foot soak to alleviate stress. This week I have been focusing on the benefits of walking. Walking not only burns calories, but also strengthens your heart, lowers blood sugar and eases joint pain. I have high blood pressure, type II diabetes, and arthritis. Walking is a win for me! To start, I have been walking during lunch for 10 to 30 minutes a day. I go to You Tube, type in Leslie Sansone and let the workouts begin. She is energetic and explains the benefits of walking as you workout. I’ve also purchased her videos to use at home. See below.

Hello everyone! I was out shopping with my Mom at Bed, Bath and Beyond and I found a product that I thought was amazing. It is made my Brookstone® and cost about $100 at Bed, Bath and Beyond and about $80 at HSN. It is a Shiatsu Plus Air Hand Massager. I paired that with the Gaiam Wellbeing Finger Massager from Amazon for $10 and provided my hands with an amazing experience. Many of you may not know this, but Rheumatoid Arthritis runs in my family (Mom) and I already suffer from Osteoarthritis, so I have to take care of my body in general, but this week I have been focused on my hands.

I am a pre-diabetic and I have high blood pressure. When my fingers tingle and I need relief, I use spiky massage balls to improve circulation. Also try range-of-motion exercises like the wrist extension and flexion with or without weights.
